The Journey Begins
The Authentic Leader is a three day leader development intensive. It is designed for leaders and managers, and for consultants/coaches who work with leaders and lead their own organizations. Utilized for years for deep leadership and organization development, Authentic Leader consistently produces significant shifts in the effectiveness and impact of leaders and their teams. It shifts the mindset of leaders from being skilled and knowledgeable Reactors to marketplace and organizational problems to primary Creators or contributors to the possibilities these conditions present. This profound shift in consciousness makes substantial changes possible in work performance, team relationships, earning potential and culture—often for the first time.
"The Authentic Leader is an integral part of Notre Dame's Executive Education Curriculum. Its extraordinary design enables leaders to develop profound insights into their businesses, their relationships, and their lives. In a world thirsting for great leadership, The Authentic Leader stands apart in laying the foundation for sustainable, long-term change."

For Business Leaders and Managers
Leadership is an inside-outside game. How we think about
things impacts what we do about them. All too often we get busy doing things and lose track of the thinking that runs the show. Our thinking—the inner operating system—goes unexamined and can take on a life of its own. This workshop sheds light on this inner life and its immediate impact on performance. Leaders gain significant insights about how they lead and how, with small shifts, they can alter the way they lead. This program helps leadership teams translate these changes into plans that yield greater performance, better relationships, enhanced resiliency and a capacity to stay true to results that matter. Especially when it’s not easy. Leaders frequently report that Authentic Leader is the most valuable educational experience of their careers.
For Consultants and Coaches
The Authentic Leader workshop offers a conceptually tight, theoretically coherent approach to leadership. It also builds on and aligns with The Leadership Circle Profile (TLCP) Certification. After you become TLCP certified, you can choose to add Authentic Leader—a powerful team development program—to your own portfolio of offerings. You can do so by attending TLC Train the Trainer Workshop Certification (TTT) program. Participation in Authentic Leader workshop is a pre-requisite.

About The Authentic Leader Process:
This workshop is a powerful leadership and team development experience that adds value to and “unpacks” The Leadership Circle Profile (TLCP) 360° assessment. It engages managers at every level from start to finish by remaining interactive, provocative, and fun. In the process, participants will be able to study, under the microscope, the inner ‘operating system’ that links automatic thinking with leadership behavior. As a result, participants gain significant insight into the underpinnings of their leadership. This awareness increases leverage for change and enables them to lead with greater passion, compassion, courage and effectiveness. At the end of the experience, each leader will walk away with a plan for improving their performance and that of their team in the following areas:
Inner Disciplines
The ongoing pursuit of Personal Purpose, i.e., knowing what matters
| |
Clarifying and committing to a vision of your desired future (in the face of obstacles and limitations) |
| |
Developing Intuition to compliment reason, i.e., knowing how and when to trust your instincts |
Outer Disciplines
Thinking systemically—designing structures that manifest your desired future
| |
Advocating Authentically and Courageously—Positive politics |
| |
Engaging conflicting and limiting beliefs—facing the inner obstacles to all the above and assisting others to do the same |
When leadership teams participate in the Authentic Leader process together, they consistently report a.) new levels of trust, b.) more honest and purposeful meetings, and, c.) a willingness to have conversations about issues that were previously too “charged” to discuss. This framework accelerates insight, deepens awareness, and highlights leverage points for change. TLCP is widely regarded as the premier leadership feedback product in the market today. The feedback within it can profoundly enhance inner awareness of those dynamics that either support or hinder the mindset and skills required for effective leadership.
